While on vacation, and away from my computer I spent some time just thinking about a design that had been bugging me for many months. It was based on the mythology of Raven Finding First Men. There were always three elements to the design. The Raven, of course, then the Men were obviously part of the design, and the third was the Clam, where they were found.
Nothing had been working, but while away from my computer I realized that I needed to do the layout horizontally in the landscape mode, rather than in portrait.
Within a day of getting home the concept came together. In fact, I had two designs, both with the same concept for the Clam and the Men. I now have more ideas, and I can see that this story will have more designs to follow.
On the trip I took a photo of a Swan on the Huron River. It turned out pretty good, and I drew a NW Native style Swan for a reflection in the water.
